Villa Naranja is situated on the ground floor and opens on to a pretty, well-established and secluded garden and patio. For outside use there are patio table and chairs, cushions, parasol (both for the beach and villa use) sun beds, beach chairs and beach mat, BBQ and 2 bikes.

The villa is very well equipped to make your stay a relaxing one with air-conditioning, fly screens to windows, colour TV (for playing DVDs'), DVD player (wide selection of English DVDs available for your use) radio/CD player. There are a variety of board games/cards and books available for your use.

Utilities (gas/water/electric), towels and bedding together with use of the two bikes are all provided at no extra cost. You will only need to bring beach towels.

The accommodation consists of a sofa bed, coffee table and round 4 seated dining table. The kitchen is equipped with hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, and coffee percolator together with necessary utensils to prepare and cook meals. Iron and ironing board, cloths airier/line and hair dryer are also available. An electric immersion heater provides hot water. The bedroom has twin beds, a large wardrobe, shared bedside locker and lamp and looks onto the garden.

The bathroom consists of shower, wash hand basin, wc and washing machine. All rooms are well lit.

The villa is situated within an easy flat walk (approx 10 mins) to the beach, or 2 mins by car. The clean sandy beach in the landlocked Mar Menor Lagoon is ideal for swimming in its warm crystal clear waters. It is very safe and ideal for children. It has a coastal perimeter of 73 kilometres and is a paradise also for sailing, canoeing and water skiing/kite surfing. The lagoon is Europe’s largest salt-water lagoon, is non tidal and is 2 degrees warmer than the air temperature. This area also provides a wonderful sea-front promenade for strolling, or stopping off for some refreshment in one of the many bars situated by the beach. Boat trips are available out to the islands within the Mar Menor.

The villa is located in Los Alcazares being a good central point to be able to explore the Mar Menor area from the salt flats with the flamingos and therapeutic muds at San Pedro del Pinatar in the north to the ancient roman town of Cartegena in the south. This incorporates such places at the National Park at Calblanque, the fishing village of Cabo de Palos and the famous La Manga strip and golf course.

Los Alcazares locally has all the usual facilities in a typical Spanish Coastal Resort including shops selling local produce, bakeries, good supermarkets (one being situated just a very short walk from Villa Naranja), shopping mall, cinema, souvenirs and many interesting bars and restaurants. Tourist Information is also within a short distance from the villa.

If you wish to explore the area further there is a national park towards the city of Murcia. Murcia City has a sight or an activity hiding around each corner - the Cathedral, Palace, Casino, churches and museums, to name a few will help pass time on those hot sunny days. Or visit Cartegena which provides diversity between good shopping areas,ancient historical sights such as Fort Navidad and Atalyas castles, a busy port with good restaurants and walks along the front, or a tour on the open top bus.

The area is a haven for golf enthusiastic. There are three golf courses lying on the south side of Torrevieja (all approximately 35 km away)– the picturesque Campoamor championship course and the world famous Villamartin and Las Ramblas courses. The world famous La Manga golf club is approx 20km away and a new course is currently being constructed in Los Alcazares.

Whilst driving back to the villa a good land mark which can be seen from exiting the carriage way is the attractive and colourful archway to the entrance of the urbanization. This is where you will also find the English Butchers (ideal for BBQ), a variety of restaurants (German, Mexican, Chinese and English), The Arches and Amys Bar for kareeoke nights etc. The Tourist Information is also situated a few hundred yards from the archway in the direction of the town centre.

Further down this road is a new complex with a variety of supermarkets, gift shops and a selection of places to stop and eat/drinks particularly in the evenings.

A £50 deposit is required to secure a booking with the remainder being paid 4 weeks prior to rental commencement. The cost includes a welcome pack, all cleaning, laundry and use of linen (you only need to provide your beach towels).
