You can practice horse riding at only 5 minutes away from the house. It is in the town council of Brión next to Santiago de Compostela. It is worth visiting this town because of its architecture and archaeology. If you wish to practice horse riding, you could also visit “ Las Torres de Altamira”, ruins from the old fortress built in the 9th century.

At only 8km away from the house, you can play golf and relax at the golf club “VAL DE ROIS”. A forest of pine and eucalyptus trees covering some parts with water and grass is situated in the “Valle de Mahía”. You can also play tennis and paddle as well as golf.

The Spa is 5 minutes away from “ Fogar do Selmo”. We offer the best leisure and the best service in the spa, go ahead and try it. But if you prefer the sea, take the road indicating Noia which leads you to the beaches and only at 17 km away from Fogar do Selmo. Noia is considered to be “El Puerto de Compostela” (Compostela Port). If you are looking for some adventure, try going on a pilgrimage from Santiago to Finisterre.

We are situated in an excellent location as Santiago de Compostela is only 17 km (10 minutes) away from Fogar do Selmo and you can’t miss the visit of the old part of this town called “La Zona Vieja” with wonderful monuments, specially the cathedral, located in “La Plaza del Obradoiro”. Inside the cathedral, you will see “El Pórtico de la Gloria” and the famous “botafumeiro” as well as the Apostle’s sepulchre (tomb).

You can also visit “La Plaza de la Quintana” where you can find La Puerta Santa, El Hostal de los Reyes Católicos, El Pazo de Xelmírez, El Colegio de San Jerónimo, El Colegio de Fonseca, el Monasterio de San Martín Pinario and El Convento de San Francisco.
