Delightful bright and airy 2 bedroomed apartment in Campillos, located on the first floor, accessible by stairs. A character whitewashed village house split into two apartments. The property itself is at the end of the street with views to the streets either side and is located near San Benito Church, a grand procession takes place every July.

For sun worshippers, the lounge has 2 sets of double French windows that open onto a Romeo and Juliette balcony which welcomes the sunlight in the mornings until mid afternoon, and the main bedroom also has French windows that open onto a balcony that faces West and catches the sun until sunset.

Bedroom 1 has air-conditioning, a double bed with matching bedside tables and lamps, 2 drawer chest of drawers with fitted mirror above, 2 door wardrobe and double French windows opening onto a small balcony.

Bedroom 2 has bunk beds, wardrobe and bedside table.

The lounge/dining room is bright and sunny and has air-conditioning, two comfy 2-seater sofas, TV, radio/CD player with selection of CDs, a selection of books, reading lamp, dining table and 4 chairs (extends to seat 6 persons).

The kitchen is a good size and has a fridge, separate 3 drawer freezer, vitroceramic hob, microwave oven, electric oven, toaster, kettle, cutlery and crockery, washing machine, iron, ironing board, broom, mop and bucket - in fact everything you need to make your stay a home from home.

The bathroom has washbasin with fitted mirror above, WC, bath with shower attachment, heated towel rail, hairdryer and accessories trolley.

A two minute amble takes you to the local supermarket and a few minutes further brings you to the main High Street with banks, shops, internet cafe, 24 hour medical centre and traditional tapas bars and restaurants. The village is quite flat and is therefore ideal for walks.

There is an indoor market daily and the outdoor market takes place every Tuesday.

The Easter procession (Semana Santa) is worth seeing and processions take place daily in the week leading up to Good Friday, with "the burial" being the most moving and spectacular. Needless-to-say the bars are very busy that week!

The community outdoor swimming pool is open from June to September and an indoor pool is currently in progress.

The summer "Feria" takes place in August and is an amazing spectacle of colours, lights, music, dancing, singing, women in Flamenco dresses and typical plates of food in brightly decorated "casetas" it really is worth experiencing, but be warned - the party lasts 4 days!

San Benito is the patron saint of Campillos and the procession takes place in July and parades past the bedroom balcony to nearby San Benito church.

Located in the heart of Andalucia. Nearest airport - Malaga airport, 70 kms, (1 hour by car).

Close to the border of Seville, Campillos enjoys a sizzling dry heat which reaches 35 to 40 degrees in the summer months.

Antequera, steeped in history, is 20 minutes drive and has a modern Eroski shopping centre, lots of pretty boutiques, international restaurants, cafe bars, a castle, a bullring with museum and is home to the Dolmens - ancient burial tombs dating back 2500 b.c. and recently discovered Roman mosaics. During the hot summer months there are evening excursions to some of the magnificent baroque style convents and churches. There is also a golf course with competitive prices.

Ideally located as a base for exploring the exciting cities of Andalucia: Seville, Cordoba, Granada, Malaga, Jerez (home of sherry) and Ronda only 30 minutes drive, famous for it's old bullring and old favourite haunt for Orson Wells. Gibraltar is approx 3 hrs drive away.

Close to the beautiful and tranquil lake district of El Chorro where you can dine in one of the many restaurants and admire the stunning turquoise waters. Picnic by the lakes and bathe in the cool, refreshing water.

An hour's drive will take you to the well known beaches of Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Nerja, Fuengirola or Marbella and Puerto Banus. Why not try the freshly grilled sardines, cooked on a wood fire at the beach bars (Chiringuitos) on the beach along with a portion of paella and, of course, a jug of Sangria.

From Malaga airport take the E15/A7 towards Antequera/Seville.

Continue along the A-45 passing Casabermeja and then fork left, heading towards the A-92 motorway Antequera, Sevilla.

Continue along the A-92 until exit 146 - Campillos, Ronda, Antequera.

Then continue on A-384 to Campillos, Ronda, Jerez.

The journey takes approximately an hour. On arrival to Campillos, turn right after the BP petrol station, then first left. The apartment is straight ahead with "Romeo and Juliet" balcony, there is ample free parking outside.

25% deposit required. Balance due 6 weeks prior to departure.

Cleaning/maid service and change of linen/towels at end of stay

Please aim to arrive after 3.00 pm and endeavour to vacate the property by 12 noon.
