Village house in Montejaque Details
This charming house is situated in the old (upper) part of the village called ‘Castillo’ where the narrow winding streets reflect its Moorish history. ‘Castillo’ is a mainly pedestrian area giving us peace and tranquillity since it is rarely disturbed by noisy village traffic.
Completed in 2001 and built in the local rustic style, it has terracotta-tiled floors, beamed ceilings and windows with shutters & grills.
The bedrooms with spacious en-suite bathrooms are located on the ground floor ensuring cool night-time conditions in the summer months. The living accommodation is situnated on the first floor giving us wonderful views of the village and surrounding mountains — surpassed only by the magnificent panoramic vistas from the roof terrace.

At the rear of the house is a small intimate courtyard.The house is spacious throughout and carefully planned with colour co-ordinated quality furnishings.

The lounge has an log-burning open fireplace and 2 double doors which lead onto small balconies.It is reached through an archway from the fully fitted kitchen/dining room off which is a utility room and toilet.

From the kitchen, the back door leads to a small intimate courtyard and stairs to the roof terrace.The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, an en-suite bathroom with bath/shower over, plus a separate shower cubicle, WC and wash basin.

The second bedroom is furnished with twin beds and has an en-suite containing a separate shower cubicle, WC and wash basin.

Casa 'Santa Maria' is less than 2 hours drive from either Malaga or Jerez airports and can be accessed in just over two hours easy drive from Seville or Gibraltar.

Montejaque is a delightful mountain village located in the foothills of the Grazalema Natural Park. It lies in an area of outstanding natural beauty and ideal for anyone interested in walking, birdwatching or other outdoor activities. In springtime it is a haven for wildflowers. Artists will find a multitude of inspiring views and subjects.

There are many and varied places of interest to visit within this interesting and culturally rich area of Andalucia, however for those who wish to just relax and 'chill out' the tranquillity of the house and village are ideal. Montejaque has several shops which sell most of your basic requirements, tapas bars and restaurants, other bars and restaurants are available within a short distance of the the village.

Nearby Ronda has supermarkets and a wider range of shops, restaurants etc.

It is not possible to drive your car up to the house, however parking is available in the streets around the village square 5 minutes walk away.

Some streets in the village are quite steep and may not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. Casa ‘Santa Maria’ has several different levels within the house and is unsuitable for very small children (toddlers).

A car is highly recommended in order to access all the delights available in this area.

The nearest beach is one hour drive away at San Pedro.

The wonderful cities of Granada, Seville, Cordoba, Cadiz, Tarifa, Jerez (Sherry bodegas), Gibraltar, are all accessible as day trips.

Nearby are caves with prehistoric paintings and the ruins of a Roman amphitheatre.

Arrival and departure procedures
Changeover day is flexible giving our guests the opportunity to take advantage of cheaper mid-week flights whenever possible.
The house is available from 4pm on the day of arrival. We ask you to vacate the house by 10am on the day of departure so that we can prepare the house for our next visitors

2 person occupancy using 1 bedroom is at reduced rates, ranging between £295 to £340. Please enquire.

Changeover days are flexible to allow clients to take advantage of cheaper mid-week flights and offers.

Usually the property is available from 4pm on the day of arrival, and should be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

We regret that we are unable to accept pets.
House is cleaned and linen changed weekly, or at changeover for rentals shorter than 1 week.
All linen and towels are provided.
25% deposit required to secure booking.
Balance payable 6 weeks before arrival date.
