Malaga offers more relaxed attractions such as Picasso’s birthplace and some of the best fish and seafood restaurants in the region, it also has a lively nightlife. Nerja boasts quieter coves within walking distance of its busier beaches. The town’s main attraction is the Cuevas de Nerja, a series of caverns which contain the world’s largest stalactite. Away from the coast lie the prehistoric dolmen caves at Antequera and the magnificent limestone gorge near El Chorr.
The traditional seaside village of Sabinillas is just a 15 minute walk or 3 minutes in the car, away from the apartment, where there are shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and a pharmacy. Next door to Finca Cortesin (18 hole golf course and 5 stars hotel) where the Volvo masters 2009 was played. Nearby you can also find Casares Golf course and gardens and Casares Country Club and Casares Don Julio golf course. The area is ideal for walks and trekking -lots of local routes through rural Spain. Plenty of lovely restaurants and La Cañada shopping centre on 340 motorway in Marbella.
