You can walk to the pretty little village of Partaloa, where there are 2 small village stores and bakers, 5 bars/restaurants, a doctors and pharmacy, and a village school. It is just 10 minutes from the market towns of Olula Del Rio or Albox and 30 minutes from the coastal resorts of Mojacar or Garrucha. Granada and the Alhambra Palace are only a 2 hour drive away.
The villa overlooks Rancho Luz Del Sol , which is a British family run horse riding and rescue centre. Fantastic discounts are offered for all types of riding for people staying at Casa Rancho. They also have quad bikes for hire now, for those of you who prefer a mechanical means of transport. They can also arrange escorted mountain biking, and cycling.
The village of Partaloa, itself has only 500 inhabitants but the town hall is now working to bring more to attract the inland tourist with guided walks and supervised hunting (seasonal), so all in all there is plenty to do if you want to. Alternatively, just take a break from the stresses of life as this certainly is the perfect place to relax!!!
