Villa en Alhaurin El Grande Description
This rural holiday rental lies 10 minutes from the picturesque white town of Alhaurin el Grande, yet only 30 minutes from the coastal resorts of Marbella and Malaga. With stunning views over the valley and the Mijas and Nieves mountains, the house is in a peaceful, private yet not isolated location. Surrounded by olive and citrus groves, the property is situated on over an acre of exquisite terraced gardens, there are beautiful flowers, a children’s play house, together with orange, lemon, peach, apple and pomegranate trees. There are automatic gates for vehicular access into the property and covered secure parking. The private pool and sun terrace has sun-loungers and chairs, while the covered patio provides shelter from the sun and is an ideal location for alfresco dining or a romantic place to sit and ‘listen to the quiet’ while enjoying the spectacular scenery.

This covered area has a barbeque, large dining table and chairs, easy chairs, couch and a coffee table. The entrance hall leads to a spacious open-plan dining/living area with an open fire for winter warmth and air conditioning for relief from heat in summer. A fully equipped kitchen serves both internal and external dining. There is also a toilet off the hall. There is satellite TV, DVD player and internet connection, well stocked bookshelves and children’s games At first floor level there are three bedrooms, one double with en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, large fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers and a private balcony. There are two twin rooms that share a bathroom, both have fitted wardrobes and bedside lockers.

One of these rooms has a large private balcony. There is a cot and high chair available and also in the living room one of the couches converts to a double bed. There are numerous beaches along the Costa Del Sol which are within half an hours drive of the property. Likewise, for those who would like a game of golf, the choice is wide-ranging. This is a rural retreat and hire of a car is essential. Driving time from Malaga airport is circa 30 minutes. There is a good bus service from both Coin and Alhaurin el Grande to Malaga and Marbella. The area is well serviced with local shops in both Alhaurin el Grande and Coin. Both towns have a good mix of restaurants, bars and clubs. In addition Dunnes Stores is the anchor tenant in La Trocha shopping centre, which is five minutes drive from the property.

This centre also has restaurants, bars and cinemas and at the weekend hosts a Sunday market. Fresh bread and good wine is so near to hand! Outdoor markets are held in Alhaurin el Grande on Thursday mornings and in Coin on a Saturday morning. Exploring the countryside there are some attractive whitewashed villages, such as Alora and Monda, with their well preserved Moorish castles, within 15 km. Ronda, with its world famous gorge and bridge is a 50 km journey through the National Park. Antiquera, with its pink flamingos is a must and less than an hours drive. Malaga, for the Picasa museum and gallery, is 30 km drive along the 357 motorway or 10 mins by train from Estasion Cartama. A ‘must’ for those interested in history is a visit to Granada, to explore either the city or the Alhambra. This is a pleasant 2 hour drive. At Finca Las Palmeras you can enjoy the sunshine and the solitude, with the knowledge that you are near every amenity you might need. If it gets too hot just relax in the pool and have a long cool drink!
