San Roque Golf and Country Club
Miles and miles of glorious, sandy beaches are close at hand, running from the Costa del
Sol to Tarifa, famous for its spectacular windsurfing possibilities. The San Roque Club is
perfectly situated, with everything from little coves to vast, sand dune-backed stretches of
sand practically on the doorstep. This area is also famous for its lush natural woodland
called Alcornocales, containing hundreds of different species of plant and animal and bird
life, with walking trails through some of Andalusia’s most beautiful countryside.
At only 15 minutes from here stands Gibraltar, rich in history and attractions such as the
world famous Barbary Apes which are best visited by taking a cable car to the top of The
Rock. And across the narrow Straits of Gibraltar is Morocco, North Africa’s most
accessible country with it’s extraordinary array of landscapes, scents and colours difficult
to match anywhere else in the world. A ferry from the nearby port of Algeciras will set you
down on African shores in as little as 30 minutes.
A multitude of Ports are close by, each with it’s unique charm and character, whether
lazing on a terrace or dancing the night away, there’s something for everyone. So whether
its the up market appeal of Sotogrande Marina or the cosmipolitan Duquesa Marina there
is always something and somewhere to go within a few mintes drive.
