San Andrés is a small population of approximately 200 inhabitants, located in Uptown, 900 meters of altitude and being located in the Centre of the island makes all points of interest in the same walking distance. Its inhabitants are mainly engaged the livestock with a typical landscape of animals grazing in the meadows of the surroundings.

Unesco declared the island of El Hierro in its entirety as a biosphere reserve on January 22, 2000. There is a maximum protection zone formed by the reserve Integral Salmor Roques Natural, the Special Natural Reserve of Tibataje, the Mencáfete Integral Natural Reserve and the reserve Integral of the Reserva Marina tip of La Restinga.

The so-called "buffer zone" consists of the Rural Park of border, the Natural Monument of the beaches, the landscape protected from Ventejís - special area for the protection of birds, and the of Timijiraque, coastal areas, the malpaís, volcanic cones and the rest of the marine reserve. The rest of the island is labeled as a zone of transition.

Also valued archaeological Island (El Julan), the cultural heritage (village of Guinea), the ecclesiastical heritage, due to the good maintenance of traditions, folklore and handicrafts in El Hierro. Great importance of the endemic species and species of flora and fauna unique in the world such as the giant lizard of El Hierro, the Sabinar or the Laurel pigeon.

Casa Rural Uncle Antonio are two semi-detached houses both consist of two bedrooms, living room with TV, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. They have mobile electric radiators and a washing machine in common use for both houses abroad. In the garden there is a small stand with a barbecue and sink to make asaderos.
