Situated in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, Finca Los Tigres is a new but traditional Andalucian “white property”. It sits high upon a hill in wide grounds, with astonishing views of the surrounding countryside and a vista of the shimmering Mediterranean in the distance (5 mins by car).The house sleeps 4-6, in four bedrooms. There are 2 double bedrooms with large beds, one twin bedroom which can be configured as a king-size and one small bedroom with a bunkbed-sofabed combination sleeping one-three,(suitable for children or visiting friends) There are two fully equipped bathrooms, one with bath/shower/WC and one with powershower/WC. The kitchen is appointed to a high standard with a “walk-in” refrigerator , washer, dishwasher, dryer, microwave and gas hob/electrical oven, as well as a cooker hood and many more electrical appliances.The entire cortijo has under floor solar powered heating and fitted wardrobes throughout. The living room has a cosy wood burning Franklin stove to guard against the occasional desert chills. Surrounding the cortijo are terraces of traditional slate with access to a large, 13x3.5m swimming pool, situated two terraces down. There is a BBQ area one terrace down, overlooking the pool.The Finca is set in rough desert landscape and does not feature manicured gardens. It is not suitable for unsupervised children or those who may have difficulties walking over uneven terrain.There is ample parking around the house. Satellite TV and DVD equipment is available. We offer satellite internet but please bring your own laptop and/or printer.Pets are allowed, but cannot be fenced in. Guests of Finca Los Tigres have endless opportunities to occupy themselves: watersports, riding, golf, hiking, even skiing (2 hours away in the Sierra Nevada Olympic Ski Resort). You can ski in the morning and swim in the Med during the afternoon. The weather is extremely stable and sunny in this part of Spain and the sea temperature does not fluctuate much from summer to winter, so swimming, fishing and diving are possible all year round. Our pool stays open all year as well. Guests can walk down the hill to Hipica Aguamarga, a brand new riding establishment with friendly, calm horses and ponies, catering to all abilities. The Hipica organises trekking and rides for our guests on long or short notice. Children can ride adorable little ponies in a fenced in area.Agua Amarga (5 mins by car) is a tiny white fishing village with a crescent shaped, sandy beach and stunning volcanic rock scenery. There is no boulevard between you and the beach, you just park and walk onto the white warm sand. Because of our location within the Natural Park we are protected from over-building and the area remains quiet. There is no bustling nightlife and the Finca and village appeal to people who are interested in “the real Spain” rather than shopping and night clubs. The village has featured in many movies and Sergio Leone has shot his Spaghetti Westerns in the area. More recently, Ben Kingsley starred in Sexy Beast, set in Agua Amarga.

Coming from the direction of Almeria itself , the airport or the train station, Finca Los Tigres and Hípica Aguamarga are located off the ALP-712, 1.5 km (0.9 M) before Agua Amarga, at about 45 minutes by car from the Airport. LOCAL DIRECTIONS About 2km before the village there is a sign showing La Joya. Soon after that, a warning sign "Travesia Peligrosa" and immediately after that, you will see a narrow, white-paved road to the right with a number of signs: Finca Los Tigres, Hípica Aguamarga, Lajoyadecabodegata. Follow this road , bearing left at a fork in the road. Drive past Charo’s Houses and a car port. To the right , a driveway leads up to Finca Los Tigres. Upon arrival at the airport please contact our representative on the phone number provided in your confirmation documentation to arrange for the keys and a tour of the facilities.
