Ca l’Helena is in the heart of the village of Castellet, the house has been renovated to make it comfortable and cozy, offering all the details for making your stay an unforgettable one. The stone walls are the only architectural feature which evoke the past and they integrate harmoniously with the present, with modern materials which fit in with the surroundings and the environment. Wood, glass and warm colours make for a very cosy atmosphere.

The different living spaces which it possesses - lounge, reading room, balcony, porch, hall - make it possible for the guests to be together or otherwise to enjoy their own space, to read, listen to music, contemplate the landscape or the many birds that can be seen here. The four bedrooms: two twins and two doubles, are all en-suite and the beds are large and comfortable.

The kitchen is large, very functional, thought out and equipped to make it possible to share the preparation of any meals with the rest of the guests. We wanted to give this special emphasis as we consider the kitchen and all that surrounds it as an opportunity for sharing, hence we have placed a recipe book in which we offer our best recipes and where we invite anyone who would like to leave theirs to do so.

The furniture is above all comfortable and functional, simply adorned and highlighting pieces with history, recovered from the family environment and restored. A fitting dialogue between the old and the new. Out of respect for the environment the house has solar energy for hot water, low energy lighting and waste should be separated, for which we count on the collaboration of our guests.

The Foix reservoir, located in the centre of the municipality, bestows our territory with some particular and unique characteristics. Its water level has remained high and stable, which has favoured the growth of typical wetland and bankside vegetation, where a very varied fauna has become progressively established, the most outstanding elements of which are the birds. The Parc del Foix Consortium has the undertaking of protecting this wetland and conserving its biodiversity.

The landscape of Penedès is one of the most characteristic agrarian landscapes in Catalunya. Its Mediterranean climate permits numerous varieties of high quality grape to be grown. It is wide, open, with a mosaic of vineyards separated by stone walls, rows of olive or almond trees, with farmhouses and wine cellars scattered over the whole area. Brooks and streams give shape to small tracts of gallery woodland.

Located at the entrance to the Parc del Foix in the heart of the wine-producing region of Penedès, you can enjoy your stay among vineyards and the whole of the Park’s surroundings. A series of activities related to the world of wine await you here: you can go for walks, ride on horseback or cycle around the vineyards of Penedès. You can try a bit of wine-tasting to familiarize yourself with the varieties, discover the aromas and subtleties of each wine.
