Jimena is one of the Pueblos Blancos of Andalucia, situated halfway between Algeciras and Ronda, but less than half an hour from the nearest beach (or enjoy lovely in-town swimming pool and river). It is located on the edge of the Parque Natural de las Alcornocales. Historic cities of Andalucia (Sevilla, Ronda, Cadiz, Granada, Cordoba) are easily reached by car or train. The train ride from Jimena to Ronda and Granada beyond is particularly spectacular.
The Atlantic beaches are only about 1 hour away in Tarifa and beaches of the Mediterranean are 25 minutes away. The surrounding mountains are very beautiful and many people enjoy walking, bird watching and driving in the area to appreciate the peace and beauty of the natural surroundings. There is even a local mushroom collecting society.
Jimena is close in kms. but very far in spirit from what has developed on the Costa del Sol, and it has remained a very Spanish and Andalucian village. It is a mecca for people interested in music, with a lively International Music Festival in July, concerts all year around, a local choir and chamber orchestra with professional and amateur musicians, frequent jazz and flamenco concerts in the town, and the opportunity for chamber music enthusiasts to play together.

Payment Policy
Payment in Euros by bank transfer. Initial deposit of 25% of total, with balance to be received 3 weeks before arrival of party. All transfer fees paid by renter. Additional cleaning fee of €40 charged for stays of longer than 1 week, and for any additional cleaning requested during the stay.
Cancellation Policy
If cancellation is made in writing (or email) and received 4 weeks before rental date, a partial refund of deposit and final payment can be made by bank transfer. If cancellation is after this date, refund may be an exchange of rental period at home owners and renters availability and convenience. INDIVIDUAL TRAVEL INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Rules
House is located in the middle of a Spanish village (White Village) on a street near the top of the village. Streets in Jimena are difficult to negotiate on foot if you are not used to hilly terrain. I do not ask for a Damage Deposit but guest are expected to treat my home with respect and replace or repair any damage or breakage. This is my home and I leave it in your hands with trust.
