Casa Da Bastida holiday cottage it’s a Galician traditional stone house originally built in the XIV Century standing on 16 Acres of pristine and lush countryside in the village of A Bastida, Council of Fonsagrada, Lugo, at the east of the ancient kingdom of Galicia. It is set over a hilly, picturesque landscape crisscrossed by rivers and dotted with stone crosses, ruins from its Celtic past and rustic villages where modern times still to catch up.

On the path of one of the oldest pilgrimage routes to Santiago the house has seen over centuries countless pilgrims, travelers, locals and merchants drop by, stop for supper or to stay overnight. Today, modernized and divided into five apartments of different sizes, caters for visiting families, parties or couples who come to enjoy the privileged outdoors and the region’s culture and cuisine.

The House has five apartments fully equipped, with modern conveniences and WiFi internet access. The 16 Acres of land surrounding the house are home to indigenous woods, Celtic and Roman ruins, natural fountains, seasonal streams and a varied flora and fauna. The countryside backdrop hosts stunning landscapes, magnificent trekking routes, rivers and peaks over 3600 ft. They form a natural park where to practice outdoor sports, fishing or hunting well away from roads or busy cities.

Fonsagrada, one of the largest rural councils in Spain, is at the East of Lugo, in Galicia, Northwest Spain. It is home to a variety of contrasting landscapes, dramatic and steep mountain and river valleys. Regional wines and the rich gastronomic legacy the region has inherited round up visitor’s fondness of these hills, away from the beaten track.

Finally let me tell you that we can make arrangements for large parties, families and welcome their pets as long as these last ones are well behaved.
