The Costa Calida extends from the growing resort of Aguilas north past the city of Cartagena to the Mar Menor and is within the province of Murcia.
The Mar Menor or 'Small Sea', is literally a lagoon where the waters are warm with a high mineral concentration. It is a very popular holiday location and inland the large complex of the La Manga Club can be found. Approximately halfway between Cartagena and Aguilas is Puerto de Mazarron. This lively town has some lovely beaches and a working fishing port.
It is only in recent years that the Costa Calida has become more well known as a holiday resort, with more and more flights flying into Murcia airport. New golf courses are springing up along this unspoilt coastline in addition to the world famous golf course at La Manga.
Discover why so many people visit this area by staying in one of the Costa Calida villas or self catering apartments we have on display.
