Finca El Juncal is an Andalusian farm located in the countryside of Posadas, about 15 km from the great city Córdoba. The farmhouse has been rebuilt as a bed and breakfast, with 6 stylishly decorated double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lounge room with internet facilities and a huge garden with a swimming pool of 6 by 17 metres.

Finca El Juncal is a great place for people who like to wake up in a quiet, non-tourist environment, take a dive in the pool and have a delicious breakfast served alongside the swimming pool. The accommodation is very convenient for individuals, groups between 4-12 people and families with children.

Finca El Juncal is surrounded by cornfields, olive orchards, vineyards, hills, country-roads and other Andalusian properties. The beautiful lake 'Embalse de la Brena' is situated near the picturesque and lively town Almodóvar del Rio, about 8 km from Posadas. The Natural Park Hornachuelos, an attractive area for walking, cycling and horse-riding, covers 60.000 hat. Finca El Juncal has 6 stylishly decorated double-rooms. The rooms include all bed linen and a fan. Childrens beds are available and can be placed in the bedrooms. There are 2 shared bathrooms near the bedrooms with shower and sink (wash basin) and toilet and 1 bathroom in another building with shower, sink and toilet.

Domestic animals are allowed and will be stayed in the horse-stables.

A single room costs 30 euro per night including breakfast.
A double room costs 45 euro per night including breakfast.

If you stay five nights, the sixth night is free. Marco is Indonesian, 34 years old, and loves snowboarding, football, snooker, pool and darts. He is a very good cook and masseur.

Katelijn is Dutch and 30 years old, and loves snowboarding, horse-riding and Flamenco. She works as a project developer of sustainable energy in Andalusia for the multi-national company Econcern. Finca El Juncal is a very convenient place for a group of people between 4-12 persons. The bedrooms, living room and garden are situated side by side and offer a lot of space.

Castillo de Almodóvar del Rio

The name Almodóvar comes from the Arabic word al-Mudawwar, which means 'the round', a reference to the hill on which this castle has been built. The castle was built in the 14th century in Gothic style and has been considered as one of the most important castles in Andalusia because of its beauty and perfect condition. From the castle there is a fine view of the countryside of Córdoba.
Posadas has a tradition of the olive and meat industry (sausages and hams from special breeded pigs) and the food Ôsalmorejo blancoÕ and Ôla sopa de ajoÕ.Ê In Posadas lies the protected natural area ÔLa SierrezuelaÕ, a spur of the Sierra Morena.
