Holiday rental 2  bedroom Townhouse Jimena de la Frontera Casa Maria is a restored typical village house with ornamental ironwork and traditionally tiled floors which is sited in its own small colourful garden with private pool just below the Moorish castle and a little above the charming restaurant El Anon which offers international cuisine.

Once a frontier village between the Moors and Christians, Jimena is set in the beautiful foothills of the Serrania de Ronda.

It is built on a hill crowned by a romantic Romano-Moorish castle. The surrounding magnificent countryside, largely falling within the Parque Natural de los Alcornocales, is ideal for bird watching, walking, horse riding, painting and photography.

There is excellent swimming in the river pools (rated the cleanest river in Spain), attractive pools in the village and the sea is but thirty mins drive away.
Vacation rental 2  bedroom Townhouse Jimena de la Frontera The open-plan ground floor consists of a sitting room with open fire, dining room, and kitchen opening onto a breakfast room with splendid views. Upstairs are two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with a bath, one with a shower). The double bedroom opening onto a terrace has magnificent views over the mountains of Ronda. The twin bedroom opening onto a balcony looks straight at the castle keep and over the countryside to the rock of Gibraltar.

The house is well-equipped and is supplied with large fridge with freezer, washing machine, Radio/CD/cassette player, electric radiators in bedrooms and dining room, gas stoves and electric fans. All linen and towels are provided.

Many old Andalusian towns and sites of historical and archaeological interest may be visited within a day's driving distance.
