Look out for elegant egrets and herons during your 10min stroll along the road by the river to the Marina and beach. Alternatively, stroll through the pine forest along well-marked woodland paths to the beach, or the lovely Reina Sofia Park with its red squirrels and peacocks.


A 5min walk along the road in the opposite direction takes you to the high street where you can either walk into the centre via shops & cafes, or hitch a lift to town on one of the frequent and cheap mini-buses.

Locally famous for its coastal dune and pine-forest natural reserve, Guardamar also has a rich history and culture.

For more modern pursuits one can engage in nautical activities at the Marina including chartered fishing trips, sailing & diving courses or more traditional sports, such as tennis and badminton, at the towns sport centre which also has large indoor/outdoor swimming pools open to the public.

The town has a large selection of restaurants representing cuisine from around the world (e.g. Chinese, Italian, Mexican and English) as well as fine Spanish restaurants, tapas bars, cafe bars & cake shops. Bargain hunters will enjoy the bustling atmosphere of Guardamar market held on Wednesday mornings, or a more relaxed evening stroll among the charming trinket stalls by the park at weekends. From PineBeach you are just 15-30mins drive from a host of activities including 5 golf courses, aqua-parks and shopping for designer clothes in the cosmopolitan cities of Alicante and Elche.

Alicante is full of shops, from small boutiques to famous department stores such as El Corte Ingles. As well as being famous for its vast expanses of date palm parks, Elche is also the shoe and boot-making capital of Spain offering great prices on a range of recognised Spanish brands for both men & women compared to the UK.


The area around Guardamar is famous for its salt lagoons: if you drove from Alicante you may have noticed the pink flamingos who feed in the lagoons near Santa Pola. For the more adventurous willing to explore further afield a most relaxing trip is to visit the luxurious natural hot-water springs by the river Segura in the spa town of Archena.

We would enjoy recommending day-trips to our visitors or happy to let you make your own unique discoveries in this enchanting area. Guardamar is surprisingly easy to get to as it lies between two international airports both served by several budget airlines. You can find us just 20-25mins drive from Alicante airport, or 40-45mins from Murcia airport at San Javier.

If you prefer not to drive, we can arrange transfers to/from both airports for you for a small charge (Alicante 30 Euros, Murcia 45 Euros) and private trips can also be organised, both paid locally.

A booking deposit of £100 secures all bookings made more than 2 months prior to your arrival. Within two months of your expected arrival date payment in full is requested.

A security bond of £150 pounds is also requested before your arrival at the apartment. This will be returned to you within two weeks of returning the keys assuming no losses/breakages have been incurred or replacements deemed necessary.

Note: All prices are total costs for the apartment, not per person, and change-over days/times are flexible to be agreed with you on booking.

Also, please note that the above prices are fully inclusive of all linen and towels (including beach towels) and all electricity/water bills. Note: please advise us on booking if you wish to use the sofa-bed to that we can provide extra bedding/linen for you.
