El Cortijo is a converted Andalucian farmhouse with all the comforts of a family home. Whilst set amongst the hills and olive groves of rural Andalucia, local shops, bars and traditional white villages are within easy reach as are the Spanish cultural cities of Granada, Cordoba and Seville. Our house is an ideal place to relax and enjoy real Spain or simply do nothing but enjoy the sun, garden and pool. The house and gardens are fully enclosed and safe for young children. The 11 meter pool has a stepped roman end for easy access. The covered dining terrace overlooks the pool and hills beyond. A BBQ is provided along with ample garden / pool furniture. The main house, kitchen and bathrooms are arranged around a vine covered courtyard, typical of Andalucian Cortijos. The house has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 7 (2 large double rooms 1 twin and 1 single). A cot is available upon request. All bedrooms have cupboards or wardrobes. All bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchen is well equipped and has a dining table and dishwasher. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and iron.

Inside you will find a comfortable lounge, TV, lots of books, DVDs, local info and maps. Nestled between the villages of Iznajar and Villanueva de Tapia, El Cortijo is under 10 minutes away by car. The villages have bars, restaurants, markets and supermarkets. The nearest city is Antequera only 30 minutes away. The main cultural cities of Granada, Cordoba and Seville are within easy reach and perfect for daytrips. The area is dominated by a stunning 32Km lake, which has a beach with pedalos and canoes available for rent. The lake is fantastic for walking and fishing.
The closest Airports are Malaga and Granada, both under an hour drive. Many budget airlines serve Malaga, we normally use Easyjet and Bmibaby. Flight times from the UK are just over 2 hours. The area is dominated by a stunning 32Km lake, which has a beach with pedalos and canoes available for rent. The lake is fantastic for walking and fishing.
