Hidden away in a valley just a few minutes drive from the picturesque town of Cortes de la Frontera, this property is unique in many ways. The accommodation is of a high standard with extra services on offer for those who wish to have a totally relaxing holiday but with the privacy that comes with renting your own house.

Your every comfort has had considerable thought, from the inviting rooms, to a discreet cook available to serve breakfast or dinner at your request. Yet the classic Andalucian town of Cortes is on hand to experience the local gastronomy with it's bars and restaurants. The town of Gaucín, is also only a fifteen minute drive away with a wider variety of restaurants.

Situated along a winding track with a spectacular mountain backdrop, one passes through the main gate into a private estate with aged oaks, bubbling streams and the impressive sight of this fully restored traditional Cortijo.

With antique Spanish & Tibetan doors and other charming features, there is much to admire. The entrance hall has a barrelled ceiling and a minstrel gallery, which sets the tone of the place. There are two sitting rooms, the first, painted with powder blue lime wash and furnished with the pale sofas and chairs, whilst the other is decorated in earth colours and has a television, DVD, and basic free to air satellite television. French doors lead out to a terrace and the pool area. The dining room is intimate and has a solid polished table with six leather dining chairs. The walls expose the original stonework, which contrasts well with the modern lighting. Adjacent is the kitchen with all the necessary modern appliances.

Upstairs there are three delightful bedrooms with wooden floors and all have en-suite bathrooms. Each room has its own distinctive décor with tasteful furniture. The master bedroom has a large marble clad bathroom set in the tower with lovely views from the full-length windows. At the top of the stairs there is a small sitting area. Stone steps lead to the pretty garden and swimming pool. At the front of the house there is a huge terrace with several tables and chairs so ‘alfresco' dining and evening drinks can be enjoyed whilst gazing across the wonderful rural views.

NB : A two bedroom guest cottage, set just 150m from the main house is furnished to the same standard as the main house is available for a further four people.
The sitting room is open plan with the kitchen / dining area and a log burning stove. The decor and furniture have all been selected with the utmost care to ensure that your stay is a memorable one.
Once again a very tasteful living area has been created with its own private garden, sun terraces and bubbling stream, just two hundred yards from the main house and pool area.

Amenities : Basic provisions can be found in Estacion de Cortes ( 4km ) which only offers a grocery shop and two small restaurants. Cortes de la Frontera is 9km away, with a selection of restaurants and shops. Locally produced products such as wine and cheese can be found here and must be tasted and enjoyed. The pretty Andalucian town of Gaucin is approximately a 15 minute drive away. Ronda is approx 20 minutes drive and for those who like the odd day at the beach, it can be found less than an hour away.
