Roughly 15 minutes from Malaga airport Los Porches is the ideal base from which to explore the many and varied attractions of the western Costa del Sol. From here you can visit Tivoli World, a huge amusement park featuring live entertainment for all the family: Paloma Park leisure park, or Puerta Marina, a beautiful complex with an abundance of shops, bars & restaurants. Perhaps you'd prefer to go on a dolphin safari, play the tables in the casino at Torrequabrada or just laze on the beach in the sun. For a trip with a difference visit the Wolf park at Antequerra. If shopping is your thing visit one of the many markets & haggle for that special bargain. Further afield are daily excursions to Gibralta, Granada, Tangier, Rhonda, the Lakes & Horse ranches & shows. Or just explore the area by train or bus, e.g. Malaga town is only 30 minutes by train. Los Porches is a delightful 3 bedroom self-catering apartment situated in the heart of Benalmadena on the aptly named Costa del Sol. Benalmadena is one of the most important resorts on the western Costa del Sol offering a variety of options;firstly the village itself, located in the upper part of the municipality features traditional architecture reflecting its origins and beautiful panoramic views; Arroyo de la Miel, where most of the population lives, has a wealth of tourist facilities, including Paloma park home to a diversity of birds and animals is 10 minutes from the apartment.; finally, Benalmadena Costa where most of the facilities for sun & sand tourism are concentrated - hotels, a casino, golf courses and a beautiful marina complex.
The Coast of Sun has approximately 300 days of sunshine per year. July and August are the hottest months. The area abounds with markets which normally run from 10 a.m. to 3.00p.m. although they may start to pack up earlier particularly in winter. Markets are fun and it's always possible to find a bargain or two especially if you barter. The following towns in the area hold weekly markets.

The apartment is in easy reach of Torremolinos (10 minutes by bus - 20 if you stroll along the sea front); Fuengirola (20 minutes by train); Malaga town (30 minutes by train). Puerto Marina is a leisurely 10 minute stroll.
