Casa Castro is a wonderful 6 bedroom mansion located in the village of Castro, 14 Km from the historical city of Lugo. This is a beautifully restored 200 year old stone mansion in which the typical style of Galicia has been faithfully preserved down to the dried hams hanging around the fireplace. The accommodation comprises of 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is a fitted kitchen and a large and airy living room. Outside is a kitchen garden filled with summer vegetables and salads, hens (daily fresh eggs), all for the enjoyment of the guests. In the garden is a 12 x 6m swimming pool with terrace. The mansion has a daily maid service included in the price. Galicia, also know as the green Spain, is an unspoilt treasure waiting to be discovered. Galicia is an ideal location for nature lovers, with coastal areas of extreme beauty, and mountains with marvellous forests and rivers. The soft weather of this Celtic region, and the excellent quality of food and wine along with the many fiestas all through the year, (mainly during summer months), makes it a perfect
destination for families or romantic trips, or just to enjoy peace, nature and good living. Lugo was an important centre under Roman times and has the finest surviving Roman wall in Spain that encircles the city with 10 gateways, 6 of which have stairs to the top for a view over the city. Inside the wall, the old city has pretty squares where to sit and relax and a large catherdral modelled on Santiago.
