Here, you will have the opportunity to explore the delights of our apartment and hopefully appreciate why we chose this quiet but exciting area of Spain to live in. It is located in the Southeast corner of Spain in the region of Andalusia, enjoying wonderful sunny days for most of the year. Our apartment can be rented for holidays and is also available for sale.

The accommodation will suit small families or two adult couples, having two bedrooms and plenty of leisure space. There is plenty of storage and the apartment is very well equipped with all the essentials for a superb holiday. Quite literally it is home from home and only needs the addition of fresh local produce or a visit to the local restaurants or café-bars to make it perfect. Located 2 minutes walk from the sea and the beach it has the benefits of Spanish village life with good local shops and bars. Nearby there is a small harbour that has fishing and leisure boats and some very pleasant beaches. The swimming is excellent in crystal clear waters and safe for children, especially from the sandy beach. An evening walk along the beautiful paseo (promenade) taking in the warm sea air is an experience very difficult to describe adequately, but we have attempted through photos and descriptions to enable your imagination to do the rest!

Slightly further afield there are plenty of exciting places to visit and we have given a few suggestions.

Truly, a place to relax and holiday in a way that most of us dream about but rarely achieve! The apartment is on the top floor of a three-apartment block, set in a cul-de-sac, two minutes walk to the village square in the quiet fishing village of Villaricos.
It is situated within easy walking distance of bars, restaurants and local shops. It is only 150 metres from the beach and promenade, set between the two harbours, where you can have a leisurely stroll in the sun to La Balsica beach bar, in the Southern harbour. Here you can enjoy a cold beer or sample the delightful seafoods, tapas etc.
On the sandy beach beyond this harbour, at the rear of the Castillo, you will find the second beach bar - Las Brisas.
On Sunday mornings there is a small but lively market, providing fresh local produce and the usual market stalls!
The area around Villaricos is very diverse with mountains to the rear of the village and offering over 18 km of beaches and coves, with some wonderful swimming, diving and snorkelling opportunities. Vera Playa

Good beaches can be found along this stretch of the coast. There is a small section dedicated to naturists – so beware! There is also a water park with lots of swimming facilities, slides and fun for all the family.
Garrucha

A traditional Spanish fishing town with fish auctions held every evening when the fishing boats return to harbour. The beach has been awarded a Blue Flag and the promenade stretches the whole length of the town, along to Pueblo Laguna. There is a plentiful choice of fish restaurants and other bars and eateries.
Turre

The landscape of Turre combines agriculture and the Cabrera Mountains. The town itself offers some interesting restaurants, shops and a Friday market. Mojacar

Mojacar Playa boasts 17 kilometres of beaches and sea with many beach bars, restaurants and facilities for water sports. Mojacar Pueblo on the other hand is a typical whitewashed village steeped in history. Its narrow steep streets lead to viewing places offering spectacular views and the Fuenta Publica with its 12 jet fountain offers you copious amounts of clean drinking water.

Another traditional whitewashed hill village, with much Moorish architecture and some great vantage points with views stretching down to the sea.
Cabo de Gata-Nijar

This Natural Park area was the first marine and land park of the Andalucia region and is a fantastically scenic area facing out to sea. Brilliant sunshine bathes its coves and tranquil beaches and the impressive rocky mountains. The coastal drive from Mojacar to Carboneras is spectacular. arboneras

A fishing town with lovely promenade overlooking the sea at the foot of the Cabrera mountain range, with El Lancon and Los Barquicos beaches both having EU Blue Flags.
Sorbas

Sorbas is a very famous area for its ‘karst’ – natural gypsum. Huge quantities are transported to Garrucha harbour for shipping to the UK and other countries for the production of plasterboard. Approaching the town by car from the lower level, you can see houses hanging on to the edge of the cliffs! There are some great walks in this area, which is also well known for its production of clay pots.

This town to the west of Villaricos is famous for its cave dwellings and a castle housing a museum and art gallery including two works by Picasso. The town has some pleasant shopping and a weekly market. There is a cave dwelling opened as a museum, giving the visitor an opportunity to experience this unique habitation.
