La Barraca is a new rustic villa set in the midst of olive groves. It enjoys spectacular views of the village Alcaucin which is on the opposite side of the valley. The towering Sierra Tejada with its National Park is just five minutes away and also nearby the magnificent Lake Vinuela with boating, water-skiing, swimming and fishing.

The villa sleeps six to eight people. It has 3 bedrooms, one with ensuite shower room. The comfortable settee in the large lounge converts easily into a double bed. There is ample bed linen and towels etc. There is a main bathroom and a large well-equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer. Outside the villa has a sunken heated pool with outside shower and it offers
a private secluded sun-trap all year round. There is also a covered veranda outside the entrance door which is perfect for outdoor eating. Garden furniture, a large table and chairs and sun loungers are at your disposal.

All linen is included in the rental price. The Sierras surrounding this whole area offer excellent opportunities for walking. The Mediterranean beaches are only twenty minutes away. Only two hours away, over the horseshoe-shaped Zaffaraya Pass is the neighbouring province of Granada. The villa is located just 6 kilometres from the village of Alcaucin where there are bars and restaurants. Five minutes away is a selection of cafes, a supermarket and shops including a fresh bread shop. . Torre del Mar is 23 kilometres away with its beach and other facilities, other wonderful beaches are to be found along the coast including at Nerja, just 35 kilometres away and Malaga airport is just 45 kilometres drive from the villa. The views are magnificent. There are two olive groves belonging to the villa and a pretty flower-filled garden and a stone barbeque. The friendly housekeeper who lives 5 mins. away will be on hand if you require ,to help you settle in and to answer any queries.
