A delightful drive through Orange Groves brings you to the Villa, which is as you know amongst the mountains. Remember those spectacular views? The Villa is between Valencia and Alicante and is a 15 minute drive from the bustling historic town of Gandia. Gandia truly boasts the best beaches on the Mediterranean and are proud of their
award winning Blue Flag status.

Along the shores you will find a charming fishing port, marina and Nautical Club. There is Windsurfing, Sailing, Fishing Trips, Swimming, Diving, Tennis, Golf, Cycling or just Walking.

If you like Hypermarkets, try the Carrefour in Gandia Playa. Gandia boasts stunning scenery of mountains and Orange Groves on one side and the warm Mediterranean Sea on the other. Lying in the district of La Safor in the province of Valencia, it has a mild climate that will enable you to enjoy a pleasant stay at any time of the year. It is located 65kms South of Valencia and 116kms north of Alicante. Gandia is a modern cosmopolitan city where you can buy almost anything in the wide range of shops. Try the Saturday open market and look for a bargain. There are numerous and varied restaurants, some of them along the promenade and are all worth a try. Most of the night life can be found in the Playa Mayor area.

The villa is 5 minutes away from the village of Villalonga, where a variety of street cafés & restaurants are to be found. There is also a great Supermarket called 'Mercadona' where you can stock up on all your holiday needs. You can find it on the main street of the village and there is parking at the rear with a lift. Also, 5 minutes away is Ador, another little village that has some lovely cafés and restaurants.

For Golf lovers the renowned Oliva Nova course is just a few minutes away and there are plenty of others around the area too.

It is worth noting that Open Markets & Car boot Sales run on most days of the week in the surrounding villages, some to note are; Saturdays - Gandia, Sundays - Pedregeur, Thursdays - Pego, Fridays - Oliva. They usually finish around 1 o’clock, so try and get there early as parking can be tricky.

Finally, don’t forget to visit the beautiful city of Valencia and an absolute must is the largest aquarium in Europe 'L’Oceanagraphic'.

It of course goes without saying that with the hosting of the 2007 America’s Cup, Valencia is firmly established as the leading area for sailing and all kinds of marine sport.
