Situated on the Costa Tropical, Salobrena is a beautiful Andalucian coastal town built on a craggy rock overlooking the Mediterranean and Sierra Nevada mountains. At the top of the rock sits the Arab castle. The maze of narrow streets beneath the castle offer a charming introduction of Moorish Spain to the visitor. Casa Mediterranea offers comfortable and spacious accommodation. The pretty private inner courtyard with dip pool provides an ideal hideaway and the further two large terraces offer space to relax and enjoy the sun and surroundings. The house has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom each having its own private or en-suite bathroom. Both bedrooms are accessed from the inner courtyard, one with its own separate entrance doorway to the sidestreet and one with its own private terrace with good views over the town, Mediterranean and Sierras. Further sleeping accommodation is available by the use of the sofa bed in the main house which has its own bathroom with shower or on a mezanine level in the main house which has two single folding beds. The sitting room and kitchen offer well equipped accommodation. With airconditioning in the master bedroom, jacuzzi bath, refrigeration units on the top terrace and adjoining the inner courtyard, Sky TV, broadband internet connection, views to the sea and mountains, this house really does offer excellent facilities. It is only a short walk from many very good bars and restaurants and is a 15 minute walk to the beaches of Salobreña. The chiringuito restaurants along the mile long beach offer a variety of refreshments and are exceptionally good value. Salobrena is an ideal location to relax and enjoy the activities that Andalucia has to offer. It should be noted that the streets of the old town are steep in places. Street parking is usually available only a short walk from the house. This is the old Andalucian part of Spain, complete with fiestas, whitewashed villages, Moorish castles and some of the best and least expensive food and wine to be found. There is history to be found everywhere from the Alhambra Palace in Granada (just 50 minutes by car) to the Alpujarras region. The coastal towns of Almeria, Almunecar, Motril and Nerja are also well worth a
visit.
