Holiday rental 3  bedroom Villa Santo Domingo de la Calzada At the bottom stands San Lorenzo mountain in Sierra Demanda. Valdezcaray ski-resort is just on the other side of the mountain.

Opposite the villa, there is David Moreno´s bodega, where you will be able to taste and buy the best Rioja wine. Just six minutes by car, it is located the newly built Rioja Alta Golf court. Around the villa there are big vineyards where to walk or ride a mountain bike. Cultural offers is very interesting too, there are medieval monasteries and abbeys where Kings are buried, birthplace of the written Castilian language. The village is at 650ms above sea level, therefore it benefits from a clean atmosphere, as well as from skies full of stars. In spring time, a blast of life happens and thousands of birds fly everywhere.

Summer is hot and sunny, in the evening there is nothing like drinking a glass of good wine while enjoying the atmosphere and the views. For those sunny days, Badaran has got a public open-air pool with many trees and a big garden.
Vacation rental 3  bedroom Villa Santo Domingo de la Calzada The style of the villa is another interesting aspect. The architecture is of a traditional basque farm house but built with modern style, and it is perfectly integrated in the landscape of the area.
There is a big garden where you will find an ecological vegetable garden with tomatoes, onions, chilli peppers and other vegetables grown by our family. There are also many fruit trees: apple, pear, fig, almond, plum and others which in when in season, you will be able to taste.
The inside stands out due to its comfort and artistic decoration. The whole floor is made of ceramic floor tiles, which perfectly combines with warm colours. The villa has been decorated with many artistic pieces, as paintings, rural tools, and many other pieces brought from sea ships, remembering the seaman influence in our family.
Holiday 3  bedroom Villa Santo Domingo de la Calzada This is the main bedroom, with access to a closed porch. This room enjoys of sun light all day long. Open the windows in the morning and you will have a fantastic view in front of your eyes.
The room has been decorated with hand painted furniture and lamps. The art is also present in this space with paintings of the different artists hanged on the wall.
The closed porch, thought for only the use of those privileged people who will be occupying the main bedroom. This porch is space of privacy, silence and relaxation. It is perfect for those people looking for a private room for reading, writing and meditation. There is also a professional massage stretcher! have you though of something better than receiving a massage after a good day, skiing, playing golf, rambling, mountain biking, bird watching or after enjoying any other activity? The other rooms maintain the style described before: tile floor, pictures, warm colours and views.
Holiday 3  bedroom Villa Santo Domingo de la Calzada Villa Mayana has got two floors: on the basement it is the garage, big and with enough room for two cars. On the first floor there are, a huge lounge with new-built fire place, dining table, TV and stereo; a fully fitted kitchen and three bedrooms, two of them with views to the valley; two bathrooms complete the floor (all of them with central heating). Two big glass-doors on its side of the fire place give access to the open porch, which is ideal for breakfast, lunch and siesta, with views to the mountains. There are two couches where to enjoy with friends and family of good conversation in front of the fire place. Do not forget a glass of good Rioja wine, and forget the world exists. On the left, there is a big dining table with plenty of space for eight diners, table and chairs were brought specially from the an old wooden ship to the villa. The atmosphere of this house will captivate you and your senses will not want you to leave this place.
